STREAMING RTMP IN 3 DIFFERENT RESOLUTIONS
This section shows how to use the Z3-DME-02 to take 1 video input and stream it over RTMP into 3 different
resolutions (720p, D1, and CIF). The Wowza server is used as an example RTMP server to stream to.
These instructions can also be used to determine how to stream the same input into multiple configurations.
Simply specify “RTP”, “UDP”, or “TSFILE” instead of “RTMP”, and ignore the sections referring to Wowza in
this section. Note that, if multiple channels off the same input is done, the total performance cannot
exceed the capability of the Z3-DME-02 (for example, 3 1080p30 encodes at 30fps would not be allowed).
7.1
Connect the Encoder

Follow steps (1)-(10) in Section 5.0 to connect the Z3-DME-02 for encode and bring up the Encoder
GUI.
7.2
Configure the Encoder for “multiple Output from One Input” Mode

Select “Encode 1 to 3 Ch” in the Configuration Option section towards the bottom of the screen:

Two channels can be configured. To create a third channel, click on the “+” to the right of the CH2
tab:
