5. TRANSPORT AND WAREHOUSE STORAGE
All EST fan coils with casing are wrapped in a plastic bag to protect the unit from dust and
scratches; they are then packed in a cardboard box to allow an easy and safe manoeuvrability
and to minimise risks due to incorrect handling.
Fan coil units without casing are directly packed in a carton box.
On the carton box, symbols showing how to stock the goods correctly are printed. A label on it
provides complete information on its contents.
If fan coils are stored in the warehouse, do not exceed the following stacking limitations:
•
MODELS WITH CASING:
Stacking position: VERTICAL;
Max. no. of units that may be stacked: 3.
•
MODELS WITHOUT CASING (CONCEALED MODELS)
Stacking position: HORIZONTAL;
Max. no. of units that may be stacked: 7
Even though the units have been properly protected to withstand adverse conditions,
we recommend that they be kept under the following ambient conditions if stored in the
warehouse for long periods of time: Temperature: min. –5 °C, max. 50 °C; relative humidity:
less than 80%.
When receiving the goods, please open the shipping carton, to make sure that all
components are present and in good condition. Any damage must be immediately
communicated to the shipping agent, and our service department must be notified
immediately if any material is missing.
6. INSTALLATION
6.1 PRESCRIPTIONS AND OBLIGATIONS
Each operation for installation and/or maintenance must be executed by qualified
personnel only, by respecting the safety norms and the installation rules of the
Country where the fan coil is installed. YORK refuses every responsibility for any
damages caused by incorrect installation or improper use of the fan coil and its
accessories. In particular, when making connections, do not use hanging, non-
standard connections or flexible tubes with unsuitable connectors. Always use
expansion bolts.
The positioning and the connection of the fan coil must be established from
the designer of the system, who has to assure the correct running of the unit by
respecting the rules and the laws in use in the Country where the unit is installed.
