BREAKDOWN DIAGNOSTIcS
Thermostatic expansion valve (heat pumps)
Equipment with heat pump is equipped with
thermostatic expansion valves.
correct overheating checking:
Determine the evaporation temperature (Tsa) by
manometers connected to the suction side.
Determine the intake side temperature (Tse) by the
help of thermometer measured on the evaporator
output.
Calculate, from this values, the overheating:
S = Tse - Tsa
You can stop the overheating, in case of necessity,
with the expansion valve.
The value of overheating should be from 3 up to 4 K.
If the expansion valve does not react to adjustment
change, than there is either an incorrect filling
volume or the valve has got a failure, and it
should be replaced. The valve may by replaced by
authorised servicing personnel exclusively.
Breakdown
Possible reason
Elimination
Equipment runs but does not
give any performance.
Unsatisfactory cooling medium level.
Check and repair untightness, and fill in.
Too low brine temperature.
Consult the service point.
Suction pipe freezing
Incorrect overheating adjustment.
Revise the overheating adjustment.
Too low brine temperature.
Consult the service point.
Unsatisfactory cooling medium level.
Check and repair untightness, and fill in.
Equipment noisy operation
Vibrating piping.
Tighten the ping.
Compressor noisy operation.
- Valve position checking (opened?).
- Bearing damage.
- Check the compressor anchoring tightness.
Lack of oil in the compressor
System untightness
Check and repair untightnesses, and fill in.
Mechanical failure of the compressor. Consult the service point.
Compressor does not start-up
Current circuit is not switched on.
Check the current circuit and fuses.
No right turning magnetic field.
Change phase order.
High- or low- pressure failure.
Determine this failure reason.
Control voltage disruption.
Check the current circuit and fuses.
Loosen connections at the terminals. Tighten the terminals.
Inadequate voltage level.
Check your power supply source.
Compressor winding short circuit.
Consult the service point.
Compressor blocked
Consult the service point.
Pump does not start
Equipment is not released.
Check the time program settings.
Control voltage disruption.
Check the current circuit and fuses.
Loosen connections at terminals.
Tighten the terminals.
Insufficient voltage.
Consult the service point.
Compressor winding short circuit.
Consult the service point.
Compressor blocked
Consult the service point.
