Apply a moderate amount of sealing paste to the
threads of the male part of the joint.
The drain line must have a siphon in order to facilitate
proper drainage.
If it is not a siphon made of flexible material, it is
recommended that it has a stopper -1- for its drainage
and cleaning.
N O T E
The condensate drain pipe should be at a minimum gradient of 2% (2 cm of drop for each metre in length).
Protection against ice
In areas where the temperature can reach 0 °C or less, there should be some kind of additional protection
to prevent the water contained in the condensate drain pipe from freezing.
An heating element (wire heater) should be installed in the drain trap and in the condensate drain pipe.
For units with heat pumps, heating elements must also be installed in the support tray of the outdoor coil
to prevent possible ice accumulation.
