8.10.1 Basic Troubleshooting Flow
First determine whether the process variable
is actually abnormal or a problem exists in the
measurement system. If the problem is in the
measurement system, isolate the problem and
decide what corrective action to take.
FN310 is equipped with a self-diagnostic function
which will be useful in troubleshooting, and this
product is equipped with an integral indicator
and it will show an alarm code as a result of self-
diagnosis.
See “Errors and Countermeasures” in the section 9
“Device Connection Type” for the list of alarms.

The following shows an example of the flow for
troubleshooting.
Refer to this example and Table 8.3. Locate
the problem and take the corresponding
countermeasure.
