Step 34.
Locate two 56” 2x6’s with joist hangers and attach them to
the 74” 4x4’s. These have a vinyl cap on one end, this end gets
fastened to the 4x4’s.
Use 6 7/8” threaded rods to fasten them, only finger tighten these
at this point.
Step 35.
Place two 128” 4x4 posts (1K) at the other end of the 2x6’s.
Use 6 7/8” threaded rods to hold them in place for the moment.
Step 36.
Using the same rods place a 56” 2x6 on the end as shown.
Step 33.
Fasten the 23 1/2” poly slats (1Q) to the 56” 2x6 using 1 3/4” washer
head screws.
Use the slat spacer to position them.
