The machine has been fitted with a voltage protection: this protection prevents the machine from
unintendedly being switched on while the machine is connected to the mains voltage.
When using the machine in the cut-off saw position:
•
To switch on the machine press the on/off switch (1).
•
To switch the tool off, release the on/off switch.
When using the machine in the table saw position:
•
To switch the machine on, set the on/off switch (15) to ‘I’.
•
To switch the machine off, set the on/off switch to ‘0’.
Mounting and adjusting the table extenders (fig. I)
Using the table extenders you can support long workpieces.
The table extenders can be mounted both to the left and to the right of the machine.
•
Insert on each side a table extender (41) into the openings in the base of the machine as shown.
Ripping (fig. F & H)
Ripping cuts are performed with the machine set up in the table saw position. While ripping, the workpiece is
guided along the guide fence and sawn through longitudinally.
•
Set the guide fence (17) for parallel guiding when ripping and set the guide profile (37).
•
Switch on the machine.
•
Securely hold the workpiece and guide it along the saw blade keeping it pressed against the guide fence.
•
In the final stage use the push stick to keep your hands well clear from the saw blade.
•
Switch the machine off as soon as the cut is completed.
Always use the push stick to cut extremely small workpieces.
Sawing straight cross-cuts (fig. F, G & J)
Straight cross-cuts are performed with the machine set up in the cut-off saw position or in the table saw
position. While sawing straight cross-cuts when using the machine in the cut-off saw position the workpiece
is placed against the fence and sawn through transversely. While performing the same cut when using the
machine in the table saw position the workpiece is placed against the guide fence.
For sawing straight cross-cuts in the cut-off saw position, proceed as follows:
•
Keep the workpiece pressed to the table and the guide fence (13).
•
Switch on the machine.
•
Depress the head with equal force to allow the saw blade to cut through the workpiece and enter the
table slot
•
Switch the machine off as soon as the cut is completed.
Only raise the head after the saw blade has come to a complete stand still.
For sawing straight cross-cuts in the table saw position, proceed as follows:
•
Set the guide fence (17) for sawing straight cross-cuts.
•
Place the workpiece lengthwise against the profile and set the guide profile (37).
•
Switch on the machine.
•
Securely hold the workpiece and guide it along the saw blade keeping it pressed against the guide fence.
•
Switch the machine off as soon as the cut is completed.
Sawing mitre cuts (fig. F, G & K)
Mitre cuts are performed with the machine set up in the cut-off saw position or in the table saw position.
While sawing mitre cuts when using the machine in the cut-off saw position the workpiece is placed against
the fence and sawn through transversely at an angle. While performing the same cut when using the machine
in the table saw position the workpiece is placed against the guide fence.
For sawing mitre cuts in the cut-off saw position, proceed as follows:
•
Set the mitre angle.
•
Proceed as described for sawing straight cross-cuts in the cut-off saw position.
For sawing mitre cuts in the table saw position, proceed as follows:
•
Set the guide fence (17) for sawing mitre cuts.
