HOSE

1. Check:

• crankcase breather hose

Cracks / damage

Replace.

Loose connection

Connect properly.

Make sure the crankcase breather hose is
routed correctly.

CHECKING THE EXHAUST SYSTEM

The following procedure applies to all of the
exhaust pipes, mufflers and gaskets.
1. Remove:

• seat
• side cover (right)

Refer to “SEAT, SIDE COVERS AND FUEL
TANK”.

2. Remove:

• silencer
• exhaust joint
• exhaust pipe
• gasket

3. Check:

• silencer
• exhaust joint
• exhaust pip

Cracks / damage

→

Replace.

4. Install:

• gasket
• exhaust pipe
• exhaust joint
• silencer

Exhaust pipe bolt

12 Nm (1.2 m•kg, 8.7 ft•lb)
