No sound.
Incorrect input or output cable connections.
Connect the cable properly.
No appropriate input source has been selected.
Select an appropriate input source with the input selector keys.
The volume is turned down.
Turn up the volume.
The sound is muted.
Press the MUTE (
) or VOL (+/-) key to resume audio output and adjust
the volume level.
There is input signal cannot be played back by this unit.
Play a source whose signals can be reproduced by this unit. Change the
system settings of the source device.
“HDMI Audio Out” is set to “TV”.
Set to “AMP”.
“HDMI Control” is set to “Off”.
When connecting ARC (Audio Return Channel) supported TV and this unit
using an HDMI cable only, set “HDMI Control” to “On”.
To use this unit with “HDMI Control” set to “Off”, connect the TV’s audio
output jack to this unit’s TV (digital optical) jack via the optical cable.
Sound from an HDMI control-enabled TV is set for output from the TV’s
built-in speakers.
Use the TV’s HDMI settings to set audio output to any option other than the
TV’s built-in speakers.

No sound or too small sound from
a specific channel.
The output level of the channel is muted.
Raise the output level of the channel.
The beam setting is inappropriate.
Adjust the beam setting.
The source is played in stereo playback mode.
Switch to 3D surround/surround playback mode.
Surround sound effects are
insubstantial.
When connecting this unit with playback device and TV digitally, the output
setting of the playback device and TV is not valid.
Refer to documentation supplied with your device and check the setting.

The playback device is set for constant output from 2 channels (PCM, etc.). Change the playback device’s audio output setting.

The listening room is not a regular shape, or the unit or listening position is
not at the center of the right and left wall of the listening room.
Relocate the unit or listening position.
There is no wall in the path of the sound beam.
Place the sound reflection board in the path of the sound beam.
When “My Surround” is set to “On”, listening position is not in front of the
unit.
Listen in front of this unit.
Sounds from above cannot be
clearly heard.
The angle of sound beams coming from the height channels is not properly
set.
Apply 3D surround sound playback mode, and then set “Height L” and
“Height R” for “Vertical Angle” in the setup menu to positions where audio
can be more clearly heard.
A playback mode other than 3D surround sound playback mode is being
used for playback.
Use 3D surround sound playback mode for playback.
The ceiling is too high, or there are items protruding from the ceiling.
Change the unit’s installation position or the listening position, and then
perform AUTO SETUP again.
