4. Fader Inspection

Parameters:  Use the "SEISAN1.QL5A"

fi

 le for the "scene data

for fader inspection".

INSPECTIONS
Recall scenes 1 to 4 one by one to operate the fader for the
following check.

Judgment criteria 1:
Check that no fader vibrates when stopping at -

 and +10 dB

indications during the above operation.
Check that no fader vibrates while the fader is moving (during
the fading time) when recalling scenes 3 and 4 and that no fader
delays by more than 0.5 second compared with the adjacent
fader.

Judgment criteria 2:
Check that the fader positions are as follows.

1

When all the faders are at the topmost place.

Make sure that all the faders are within 2 mm from the 10
dB indication.

2

When all the faders are at the lowermost place.

Make sure that all the faders are within 2 mm from the -

indication.

5. Sound Check

Check the following items by listening.

q

 ANALOG INPUT, ANALOG OUTPUT

Parameters:  Check at INPUT 1 -> OMNI OUT 7.

Select WORD CLOCK as follows and make sure
that the sound is not interrupted while listening
for 15 seconds or longer.

1) DANTE 48 kHz

2) DANTE 44.1 kHz

w

 EFFECT function (DSP6 operation check)

Parameters:  Use the “SEISAN1.QL5A” file as “sound scene

data”.

Set WORD CLOCK to INT 48 kHz.

Put music signals into DANTE input and listen to
output from PHONES OUT.

To put music signals into DANTE input, use
Cubase.

For the details, refer to “DANTE sound output
check” on page 170.

INSPECTIONS
Recall scene 5 (Reverb) and check the signal for at least 15
seconds.

A. 48 KHz + 4.1667 % (50 kHz)

Parameters:  When checking the WORD CLOCK IN, set the

oscillator frequency to 50 kHz.

Set the Sample Rate column on the Device Con

fi

 g

screen as follows.

Sample Rate: 44 k

Pull-up/down: +4.1667 %

1

 Distortion (WORD CLOCK IN)

B. 44.1 kHz - 4 % (42.336 kHz)

Parameters:  When checking the WORD CLOCK IN, set the

oscillator frequency to 42.336 kHz.

Set the Sample Rate column in the Device Con

fi

 g

screen as follows.

Sample Rate: 44 k

Pull-up/down: -4 %

1

 Distortion (WORD CLOCK IN)

3-4. Jitter Measurement

Parameters: Use System Two.

Select Sec, PK.

BW: Select 700 Hz to 100 kHz.

Use DIGITAL OUT for the inspection.

A. WORD CLOCK INT

Parameters:  Select the WORD CLOCK values shown in the

following table.

1

 Jitter

B. WORD CLOCK EXT

Parameters:  Set WC IN for WORD CLOCK.

For inspection, set the frequency of the oscillator
as in the table below.
