Always use a new circlip.
NOTE:

Fully compress the front fork leg, and then
install the circlip.

When installing the circlip

, make sure the
sharp-edged corner

is positioned oppo-
site the thrust that the circlip receives.

INSTALLING THE FRONT FORK LEGS
The following procedure applies to both of the
front fork legs.
1. Install:

Front fork

Temporarily tighten the lower bracket
pinch bolt.
2. Tighten:

Lower bracket pinch bolt

Washer

Cap bolt
4. Tighten:

Cap bolt

Make sure the brake cables are routed
properly.
5. Install:

Front wheel
Refer to “REMOVING THE FRONT
WHEEL”.

Handlebar
Refer to “REMOVING THE HANDLEBAR”.
