The Functions
The “Functions” provide access to a ran g e of detailed instrument parameters such as
Tunin g , Split Point, Voices and Effects. Find the desired item in the Function List on
pa g es 66–69, and then follow the instructions below.
Basic Proced u re in the F u nction
Display

Press the [FUNCTION] button.

Press the CATEGORY [<<] and [>>] but-
ton several times until the desired item
appears.

Use the dial, the [+/YES] and [-/NO] but-
tons, or the [0]–[9] number buttons to set
the value of the selected function.
To restore the defa u lt v al u e, press the [+/YES] and [-
/NO] bu ttons sim u ltaneo u sly. The one exception to
this is the MIDI Initial Send f u nction (F u nction 055),
w hich is an operation and not a parameter. For this
f u nction, pressing the [+/YES] bu tton exec u tes the
operation w hile pressing [-/NO] cancels it.
Some F u nction settings are maintained e v en if
yo u t u rn off the po w er, and can b e transferred to
a comp u ter as Back u p Data (page 49).
