3. Clean:

Crankcase filter element

Blow out the dust in the element from the
outer surface using compressed air.

4. Install:

Crankcase filter element

Crankcase filter cover seal

Crankcase filter cover

COOLANT LEVEL INSPECTION

Make sure the scooter is upright when inspect-
ing the coolant level.

1. Stand the scooter on a level surface.
2. Stand the scooter on its centerstand.
3. Inspect:

Coolant level
Coolant level should be between the
maximum

and minimum

marks

Coolant level is below the “LOWER” level
line

Add soft water (tap water) up to

the proper level.

Hard water or salt water is harmful to engine
parts. Use only distilled water if soft water is
not available. If you use tap water, make sure
it is soft water.

4. Start the engine and let it warm up for sev-

eral minutes.

5. Turn off the engine and inspect the coolant

level again.

Wait a few minutes until the coolant settles be-
fore inspecting the coolant level.
