Using the clamp which has been tentatively
tightened, secure it to the plate battery fitting
(indicated by the arrow at the left).
6. The front caster of the wheelchair should not
lift more than 50 to 100 mm from the ground
while adjusting length of the tilt lock assem-
bly (rollover prevention bar).
7. Adjusting the tire air pressure

8. Check the following during trial operation.
•
Are there any abnormal sounds?
•
Is operation normal?
CAUTION:
Check for loose bolts, nuts or screws.

Adjusting the auxiliary brake
1. Turn the brake assembly nut until the clear-
ance between the brake rubber and the rim
is the same on the left and right. The left
wheel is adjusted by slightly loosening the
10 mm nut on the lower side, and the right
wheel by slightly loosening the 10 mm on
the upper side.
NOTE:
•
After completing the adjustment, check to
make sure the brake does not drag.
•
After completing the adjustment, tighten the
nuts until they are back in their original posi-
tions.
If nuts are tightened excessively, one side
may hold more strongly than the other.
