Oil pump lever position adjustment
1. Check:
• Oil pump lever position
Incorrect
→
Adjust.
Checking steps:
• Remove the intake duct.
Refer to “INTAKE DUCT AND INTAKE
SILENCER.”
• Squeeze the throttle lever to fully open
the throttle valve lever.
• Check that the gap of the oil pump lever
is 0–0.5 mm (0–0.0197 in)

• Oil pump lever position
Adjustment steps:
• Remove the intake duct.
Refer to “INTAKE DUCT AND INTAKE
SILENCER.”
• Loosen the locknut

and adjusting nut

of the throttle cable.
• Adjust the throttle cable length to 18.5
±
1.0 mm (0.728

0.039 in)

• Tighten the locknut and adjusting nut.
CAUTION:
Check that the cover

is securely
installed.

11 N • m (1.1 kgf • m, 8.0 ft • lb)
• Check that there is free play between the
throttle cable and throttle valve lever.
• Squeeze the throttle lever to fully open
the throttle valve lever.
• Check that the gap of the oil pump lever
is 0–0.5 mm (0–0.0197 in)
