With the utility car parked on level
ground, remove the dipstick and make
sure the engine oil is between the MIN
and MAX marks (the crosshatched
area on the end of the dipstick).

If the oil level is

the MIN mark
on the dipstick, add oil through the oil
filler hole until the oil level is between
the MIN and MAX marks.

Use care not to fill past the MAX
dipstick mark, and be sure no for-
eign material enters the crank-
case.

Use care not to get oil on the
starter belt.
The distance between the dipstick
marks represents approx. 1/2 US qt
(1/2 L) of oil.
Recommended engine oil classifica-
tion: API Service SE, SF, or SG.
Engine oils labeled “Energy Con-serv-
ing II” are recommended.
