OPERATING THE GENERATOR
3. Ensure that the fuel filter cock is set to
the “OPEN” position.
(1) Fuel filter cock
(2) Fuel filter pot
(A) “OPEN”
4. Insert the key into the starter switch and
turn it “ON”.
5. Check the battery charge lamp and oil
pressure lamp are ON.
(1) Water temperature lamp
(2) Oil pressure lamp
(3) Battery charge lamp
(4) Glow timer lamp
NOTICE

Do not use ether or any starting
fluid for starting the engine,
or severe engine damage will
occur.
6. Turn the starter switch (key) to
“PREHEAT” position.

preheating times.
7. Turn the starter switch (key) to the
“START” position and release when the
engine starts.

Do not run the starter motor
continuously for more than 10
seconds at a time, or it may
damage the starter. If the engine
fails to start, wait for about 30
seconds and try again.
8. Check to see that the battery charge
lamp, oil pressure lamp and water
temperature lamp are OFF.
9. Check the warning lamps.
Whenever the engine stops automatically during
operation, correct the problem before restarting
the engine.
NOTICE

Be sure to warm up the
engine, not only in winter,
but also in warmer seasons.
An insufficiently warmed-up
engine can shorten its service
life.
