Menu Language
Select the language which is used to show title menus or DVD
menus when playing back a DVD.

When the SET UP group “DVD Settings” is selected,
press

to select “3 Menu Language” and
then press SELECT.

to select the preferred language and

Factory default setting
U.S.A. and General models: English
China model: Chinese
Note
If you play back a disc which does not have the selected
language, the priority language on the disc is used.

Entering a language code number

After you select “Others”, press SELECT.
* “Language Code” appears on the monitor screen.

Enter a 4-digit number by using the numeric buttons.
(Refer to “Language code list” on page 67 for the
number of the desired language.
(Example: “8084”)

Press SELECT.
Note: In step 1, if a language code is already set, it is
shown as “Others 6565 (for example)”. If you wish to
change the code number, follow steps 2 and 3.
