Close
Then close the skewer by flipping the lever 180
o
. At
about halfway through closing you should start to
feel resistance. Take care not to over-tighten the
lever, but be sure the forks fit snuggly on the skewer.
Closing the skewer should take firm pressure—
enough to leave an impression on your palm. If the
skewer is too loose or tight, open the skewer and
adjust it by turning the nut, not the skewer lever.
Tighten
Slide the OverCenter
WheelStrap into the
Wheel Tray Track.
If your bicycle has
relatively narrow tires
and rims, install the
rim adapter onto the
OverCenter WheelStrap.
If you’re riding fatter,
“off-road” tires, do not
use the rim adapter.
With the buckle
lever in the open
position, loop the strap
over rim and tire:
If you wish to use the Accessory Lock Housing to secure
your equipment, SKS Lock Cores are available separately
and may be matched to other Lock Cores you already have
or wish to buy. Use the Accessory Lock Housing to secure
the ForkBlock or the rear Wheel Tray to the Crossbar.
Follow the instructions that come with the Accessory Lock
Housing.
About the Accessory Lock Housing...

Tighten the
skewer nut (not
the lever) against
the bicycle fork
with your hand,
but take care not to over-tighten. You will
need some play to close the skewer lever.
• The strap is properly tight
if it requires “firm”
pressure to close the
buckle lever.
• IF TOO LOOSE: Move
lever to the open position
and push more strap
under the red buckle.
• IF TOO TIGHT: Push and
hold down the red trigger
button and pull strap out.
Always secure
the wheel to the
tray before
driving away!!
Install End Caps
Insert strap under the
red trigger and push
through.
Move the buckle lever
to the closed position.
• To release the
WheelStrap, press the
red trigger button and
pull the strap out.
