Troubleshooting
If you perceive any abnormality while using the device, verify the following points before arranging to have the
device repaired.
Problem Possible Causes and Solutions
Do not overload an electrical circuit with the AC adapter. Make sure that the AC adapter is fully inserted into a wall outlet.
The device is set to shut off automatically (page 13). To resume using the device, wait at least 10 minutes before proceeding.
Preparations for flash emission have not been completed. Wait until 2 short beeps sound.
The device shuts off
The device is in standby. Set the desired level with the POWER/LEVEL button (page 20).
Press the treatment window firmly on your skin (page 21).
No flash pulse is emitted
(During continual treatment)
Ensure that the treatment window is fully seated over the skin and wait for the OK lamp to turn on before removing your hair (page 21).
No flash pulse is emitted
Hold down the POWER/LEVEL button (approximately 3 seconds) to turn on the device.
Connect the AC adapter to the device and a wall outlet.
Does not turn on
Refer to Error Indications (page 29).
The device cannot be operated.
The device is in standby. Set the desired level with the POWER/LEVEL button (page 20).
Press the FLASH button (page 21).
No flash pulse is emitted.
