SURFACE PREPARATION
Before starting a pressure wash cleaning it is important to prepare the surface that is to be
cleaned. This is done by clearing the area of furniture and making sure all windows and
doors are closed tight. In addition, you should make sure all plants and trees are protected
by a drop cloth.
INITIAL HIGH PRESSURE RINSE
Spray the cleaning surface with water to clean off any dirt that may have collected on the
surface. This will allow the detergent to work on the deep down dirt that has worked its way
into the cleaning surface. Before triggering the gun, adjust the nozzle to a wide fan pattern
and slowly adjust to the desired spray pattern. This will avoid too much concentrated spray
to the surface which can cause damage.
DETERGENT APPLICATION
Use only detergents formulated for pressure washes. Make sure to test the detergent in an
inconspicuous area before use.
1.
Follow the label directions for mixing correct detergent to water ratio through the pressure
washer, it is approximately 5.4% (1-19). Unscrew the top of the detergent applicator and fill
the applicator with detergent.
2.
Replace the top on the applicator and remove the lance from the gun.
3.
Attach the detergent applicator to the gun.
4.
Apply detergent so it thoroughly covers the cleaning surface. Apply from the bottom up.
5.
Allow detergent to remain on the surface for a few minutes. Use a brush to lightly scrub
heavily soiled areas.
NEVER
allow detergent to dry on the surface.
6.
Remove the detergent applicator from the gun and replace with the lance, or remove
the applicator from the end of the lance.
7.
Rinse the detergent from the surface.
NOTE:
Flush the applicator with clean water following
each use.
8.
Final Rinse: Start at the bottom and work your way upward. Make sure you thoroughly
rinse the surface and that all detergent has been removed.
SHUT DOWN
1.
Turn off the motor and water supply. Squeeze the trigger gun to de-pressurize the system.
CAUTION: NEVER
turn the water supply off before turning the motor off. Serious damage
could occur to both the pump and motor.
NEVER
disconnect high pressure discharge hose from the machine while the system is
pressurized. To de-pressurize, turn the motor of and squeeze the trigger 2-3 times.
2.
After each use, wipe all surfaces of the pressure washer clean with a damp cloth.
