Maintenance
Inspection is recommended following extreme conditions such as snow storms,
sand storms, hail etc. to make sure that nothing has been damaged and the
sensitivity is not reduced by accumulation of snow, sand or dirt on the front
window.
The detectors have been designed to be virtually maintenance free but the
following precautions are recommended:
– Visual inspection of the front window for accumulation of dirt on the outer
surface or damage at annual intervals
– Walk tests for checking the detector alignment and sensitivity settings to
ensure optimal performance and reliability
