JHV1 HIGH VOLTAGE OUTPUT
WARNING! Do not insert or remove the output cable from this connector until
AC power is off and the DC output has discharged.
This is the high voltage output of the supply
(see INTERFACE DIAGRAM Figures
11 and 12)
. Engage the connector as follows:
FJ/FR UNITS > 5 kV and EJ/ET/EY units >6kV: Insert the high voltage ca-
ble provided into the receptacle. Screw the threaded barrel onto the
receptacle.
EJ/ET/EY 6 kV AND ALL UNITS <= 5 kV: Align plug, push in, and rotate
1/2 turn to engage.
E1
GROUND STUD
WARNING! Do not operate unit without good external earth ground connected
to this point.
This is the main grounding terminal for the supply and
must
be connected to a good
external earth GROUND. This terminal should also be used for the HV load return.
(See INTERFACE DIAGRAM Figures 11 and 12).

J3
ANALOG CONTROL CONNECTOR
WARNING! Do not make or remove connections to this connector or any other
connector until power is off and the output has discharged.
This connector provides inputs and outputs for the analog remote control functions.
For a description of each of these signals and their application
(see INTERFACE
DIAGRAM Figures 1 - 12 and the remote control interface section)
.
Note: When the LOCAL/REMOTE switches are set to
the REMOTE position and there are no digital
computer connections, signals must be provided to the
REMOTE V-PROGRAM, I-PROGRAM, & HV
ENABLE inputs of J3 in order for high voltage to be
generated.
