5.3.2.3 Shutdown
Accessible from the run state and transitions the system to the sleep state. During this sequence the
following occurs:
• Inverter is de-activated
• AC and DC contactors of inverter opened
• BESS DC contactors open
5.4 XOLTA Outdoor BESS monitoring
The BESS monitoring application is a WEB application providing a user access to the BESS solution via the
Cloud services. The Cloud services store telemetry data and provide a real-time status of the BESS solution.
From the application users can access:
1.
Overview of your renewable energy production and electricity usage
2.
Operation status of the battery
3.
Dashboard with near real-time status and renewable self-consumption rates
4.
Historical trending of telemetry
5.
Historical economics data
The XOLTA App can be accessed at https://app.xolta.com, starting with a login page. For the best experience
we recommend using the Google Chrome browser.
5.5 User and device registration
To get access to the system, a user/owner needs to register and associate a device with a new or existing
account. This can be done by simply scanning the QR code in the test report or on the battery. After scanning
the QR code and opening the link, a popup login/registration page is shown as seen in Figure 5.8.

Signup can be done by manually filling in user infor-
mation or by using a Google or Facebook account.
Follow the process and account validation throughout.
After successful login, the user will get into the device
registration as shown in Figure 5.9.
Click “Create a new site”.
