Powering on the Machine
The On/Off switch and the power inlet are at the rear of the machine.
1.
Connect the
AC Power Cord
to the machine and a
power outlet. The power cord must be plugged into a
grounded power socket.
2.
Press the
ON/OFF
switch to the ON (
I
) position.
3.
To power off, press the
ON/OFF
switch to the OFF (
O
)
position.
Network Connection
If the machine is to be network connected, follow these steps to connect the network cable.
1.
Connect a 10/100/1000 BaseT Ethernet cable to the
Ethernet Port
at the rear of the machine.
2.
Connect the other end of the cable to your network
port.
The machine will attempt to join the network (this
may take a few minutes).
To configure the Network Settings at the machine, refer to
Network Settings
on page 80. For full network installation
instructions, refer to the
System Administrator Guide
