OPERATION
Follow these steps to change the resolution for the next fax
transmission:
1. Click on Options in the Fax or Print dialog box.
2. Select the desired resolution.
3. If PostScript is selected, click on the Recipient’s Fax Password
box, then type the password (30 characters or less).
4. Click OK.
Changing the outside access code
During the install program, you were asked to specify any outside
access codes required by your telephone system. You can use
the Advanced Fax Options screen to override the codes specified
for a particular fax job.
Follow these steps to change outside access codes:
1. Click Options from the Fax or Print dialog box.
2. Click the Access Codes box.
The access code you specified during the install program
appears in the Access Code field.
3. Edit the Access Code field as needed for the next fax
transmission. The fax software recognizes the following
characters:
Code
Function
0 through 9
Dialing numbers
* and #
Sound the tones corresponding
to these keys on tone telephones
W
Wait for dial tone
, (comma)
2 second pause
[ ]
Square brackets protect internal
accounting codes, credit card
numbers, and so forth. Any
number placed within the square
brackets gets dialed, but does not
appear on the fax cover sheet or
header.
4. Click on OK or press Enter when finished.
This access code is used for the next fax transmission.

Note: Run the install program again from your hard
disk to change the outside access code for all fax jobs.
