5 Troubleshooting
Partial blanks, creased paper
or blotted printing
The paper is damp. Replace the paper.

The paper is outside the recommended specification range. Replace the paper with a
recommend size and type.

The transfer roll cartridge or fuser unit is not installed correctly. Reinstall the transfer roll
cartridge and/or fuser unit. For information about replacing of the fuser unit, contact our
Customer Support Center or your dealers.

Condensation inside the printer causes partial blanks or creased paper. Turn the printer
on and leave it one hour at least to get rid of the condensation. If the problems still
occur, contact our Customer Support Center or your dealers for assistance.
Vertical blanks
The drum cartridge is not installed correctly. Reinstall the drum cartridge.

The drum cartridge, transfer roll cartridge, or fuser unit is old or damaged. Check the
condition of the drum cartridge, transfer roll cartridge and fuser unit, and replace as
necessary. For information about replacing of the fuser unit, contact our Customer
Support Center or your dealers.

Slanted printing
The paper guides in the paper tray or bypass tray are not set correctly. Reset the paper
guides in the paper tray or bypass tray.

White spots appear on the

Toner spilled out around the

The printed image is bluish
The paper is outside the recommended specification range. Replace the paper with a
recommended size and type, and confirm that your print driver settings are correct.

The transfer voltage setting is not proper. Adjust the transfer voltage on the control
panel.

Printed image or texts wear off
quickly
