7.1.5 Cleaning the Electrical Contacts
If a deterioration of the print quality is observed, it may be necessary to clean the
electrical contacts on the print head
1) Unplug the power cable from the mains socket and tilt the printer cover
2) Remove the print head and clean the electrical contacts using a dry cotton swab
(see figure 7-1)
Warning:
Do not touch the printing nib.

3) Clean also the electrical contacts on the print carriage using a dry soft cloth (see
figure 7-2).

4) After reinserting the print head, close the printer cover.
