A2.3 Library User Interfaces
The library provides two main interfaces:
Operator control panel (OCP)
—The OCP in on the front panel of the library. It has a power button, four
LEDs, four control keys, and an LCD screen. With the OCP, you can monitor, configure, and operate
most library functions from the library front panel. Normal operation in a XenData archive can be
performed with the OCP without need to use the RMI.
Remote management interface (RMI) is a web interface
— With the RMI, you can monitor, configure, and
control the library from a web browser. The RMI hosts a dedicated, protected Internet site that displays a
graphical representation of the library.
The OCP and RMI are similar in design and functionality.
