HOUR METER STATUS
•
Lit green: the UV-C lamp is operating within its normal service life.
•
Flashing green: the UV-C lamp will need to be replaced within 500 more hours.
•
Lit red: the UV-C lamp should be replaced as soon as possible.
RESETTING THE HOUR METER
After the lamp is replaced, the system can begin counting again. First you must perform a ‘reset’. A reset
changes the hour meter reading back to the programmed number of hours.

Hold the button.
•
The LED will flash quickly and then light green. This takes a total of about 5 seconds.
•
As soon as the hour meter is lit green you can release the button.
•
The hour meter will begin counting a new cycle as described under ‘hour meter status’.
REPLACING/MAINTAINING IMMERSION UV-C LAMP
The lamp must be replaced after 8.000 or 16.000 (amalgam) operating hours and the quartz glass must be
cleaned.

1. For your own safety, put on an UV safety goggles (A)
2. Wear gloves (B)
3. De-energize the appliance and wait at least 10 minutes
4. Carefully take the Immersion UV-C out of the appliance/machine
5. Loosen the nut (I) from the screw part (H)
6. Carefully pull the lamp (C) off the lamp fitting (F)
7. Take a new UV lamp (C) out of the packaging
8. Carefully slide the lamp (C) into the quartz glass (D)
9. Place the lamp fitting (F) on the lamp (C)
10. If necessary, clean the quartz glass with a soft cloth and a non-aggressive cleaning agent. When the
quartz glass is totally dry you can check for lime scale deposits. Remove any lime scale deposits with
appropriate lime scale removers (i.e. cleaning vinegar).
11. Slide the lamp fitting into the quartz glass and hand-tighten the nut (I) onto the screw part (H). This will
ensure that the O-ring (J) is locked in and that the connection is therefore watertight.
12. The UV-C appliance is now ready for use
