Attention!
The Immersion UV-C may not be put into operation until it has been built into an
appliance/machine to a maximum depth of 9 metres or has been assembled with other
appliances/machines to form an appliance/machine that meets the harmonized European
standards applicable to the assembled appliance/machine, and in particular the standards defined in NEN-
EN-IEC 60335-2-109:2010.

In UV radiation water treatment appliances, no UV radiation shall be discharged from the appliance

before, during or after installation
•
during operation
•
during maintenance
•
during cleaning
•
during replacement of the UV-C lamp
NOTE This requirement may be met by mechanical construction, or by a switch
**
that de-energizes the UV-C lamp.

Compliance is checked by inspection and by the tests of Clause 32.

It shall not be possible to operate the switch, if any, with test probe B of IEC 61032
Attention!
The Immersion UV-C may not be put into operation until the appliance/
machine has been fitted with proper earthing that meets the harmonized European
standards applicable to the assembled appliance/machine, and in particular the
standards defined in NEN-EN-IEC 60335-2-109:2010 and NEN-EN-IEC 60335-1:2010.
NEN-EN-IEC 60335-2-109:2010 CLAUSE 22.101
Class I UV radiation water treatment appliances having an enclosure of non-metallic material shall be constructed
so that leakage of liquids does not result in a hazard.
Compliance is checked by the following test.
•
A hole is made in the enclosure.
•
The appliance is placed in the most unfavourable position that is possible according to the instructions.
•
Water containing approximately 1 % NaCI is poured into the enclosure at a rate of approximately 100 ml/min,
avoiding live parts.
•
The accumulating water shall come into contact with earthed metal before reaching live parts.
