Operation
Ground Drive LCS Operation
The LCS-800GD is equipped with a ground drive CDS/John
Blue GNP6055 piston pump. The pump can be engaged by
either a tractor powered hydraulic system or a hand pump
hydraulic system. The tractor powered hydraulic system
has hydraulic hoses that plug into a tractor hydraulic circuit.
The hand pump hydraulic system is self-contained and can
be towed behind a tractor or a pickup.
Filling the Tank
Before filling the tank or spraying, make sure the tank valve
is open. Usually, this valve is only closed when repairs are
needed to the plumbing system.

Spray Tank Valves
Attach the fill hose from the nurse trailer to the Quick-Fill
fitting, close the pump valve and open the Quick-Fill valve.
Add the desired amount of chemical solution, then close the
Quick-Fill valve before disconnecting the fill hose. Open
the pump valve before engaging the pump.
If the sprayer is equipped with an Extender Boom, unfold
the boom out into the field position.
Setting the Pump
Refer to the enclosed manual for the CDS/John Blue
NGP6055 pump for instructions on setting the pump for
the desired application rate.
Also included is a Slide Chart (P/N 115698-91). This chart is
designed for many different sprayers. For the LCS-800GD,
use the following settings:
Standard Sprocket Combination -- 18 to 50
Loaded Radius -- 7.5”*
Swath Width -- Extender Boom -- 500”
Boom Buster -- 380”
* The loaded radius of the drive wheel is the 4.8x8 wheel
with the sprocket, not the large ground wheel.
