Caution
: Before using the screw, make sure it is clean and
lubricated properly. In addition, the shank of the rim-edge
support should be slightly lubricated before inserting it into the
screw housing.
- Now insert the assembled unit into a rim hole (Fig.1).
- Make sure that the groove of the rim support-edge rests, in
correct positive mechanical engagement, on the edge of the rim
of the rear rim (Fig.2).
- Now act on the screw until the presser (support) rests on the
inside of the rim hole (Fig.3 + 4).
- At this point act on screw SW22 until the outer rim loosens from
the inner one (Fig. 4).
Warning
: To avoid excessive tilting, it is advisable to repeat
this procedure, also alternating it on the hole of the rim moved
by 180°, until the rim is completely removed.
Warning
: In many vehicles fitted with a drum brake (for
example construction vehicles) even the rear rim can be
removed, providing a support for the brake drum.
