Intended use
The device is intended solely for measurements on
vehicles with 6 V, 12 V or 24 V on board voltage.
The user alone is responsible for damage
resulting from improper use.
Measurement categories
The following measurement categories are defined
according to standard EN 61010-1:
Measurement category CAT II
Measurements on circuits that have a direct connec-
tion via a plug with a low voltage network. Typical
short-circuit current < 10 kA.
Measurements on circuits directly electrically con-
nected to the mains via plugs in domestic, office and
laboratory applications.
Measurement category CAT III:
Measurements performed on the mains installation
of a building (stationary consumers with non-plugga-
ble connection, connection to the distribution board,
built-in devices in the distribution board). Typical
short-circuit current < 50 kA.
Measurements on building wiring installations:
Fixed installations, distribution boards, devices per-
manently connected to the distribution board.
Measurement category CAT IV:
Measurements on the source of the low voltage
installation (meter, main connection, primary over-
current protection). Typical short-circuit current >>
50 kA
Measurements on the source of the low voltage
installation:
meter, primary overcurrent protection, main
connection.
