Problem

It is difficult to wind up the
cutting wire or it breaks.
• Adhesive bead is too cold and
therefore too hard.
• Bring the vehicle up to room
temperature.
• Partially heat up the adhesive bead
in particularly difficult areas using a
hot air gun.
• The cutting wire stops at clips
or spacers.
• Route the wire around clips or spac-
ers.
• High adhesive concentration at
one point.
• Heat the point with a hot air gun.
• The cutting angle is too low.
• Move the device so that a more
acute cutting angle is obtained.
• The wire is stuck on a body
recess.
• Lever the wire out of the body
recess.
The suction plates do not
adhere sufficiently to the
windscreen.
• The windscreen is not free of
grease and dirt.
• The vacuum is too low.
• A vacuum cannot be created.
• Clean the windscreen adequately.
• Always ensure the ring marking is
hidden.
• The suction plate is damaged or
the system is not air-tight.
The ratchet mechanism is faulty. • The ratchet switching levers are
not switched as a pair.
• Always switch the ratchet switching
levers as a pair, i.e. to the same
marking.
