Special notices
Safety precautions for all applications
Common safety directions for grinding, sanding, with wire brushes, polishes and cutting
off by grinding.
a) This power tool is to be used as a grinder, sander, wire brush, burnisher and
abrasive cut off machine. Observe all the safety directions, instructions,
representations and specifications that you receive with the tool.
Failure to observe the following directions could cause electric shock, a fire and/or
serious injuries.
b)
Do not use accessories, which are not specially intended and recommended by
the manufacturer for this power tool.
The fact that you can attach the accessory to this power tool does not guarantee the
safety of its use.
d) The permissible rotational speed of the insertion tool must be at least as high
as the maximum rotational speed indicated on the power tool.
Accessories that rotate at a speed that is faster than the permissible speed can break
and fly around.
d) The external diameter and thickness of the insertion tool must correspond to
the stated measurements of your electrical tool.
Incorrectly dimensioned insertion tools cannot be shielded or controlled sufficiently.
e) Grinding disks, a flange, grinding pads or other accessories must fit perfectly
upon the grinding spindle of your power tool.
Insertion tools, which do not fit exactly upon the grinding spindle of your power tool
rotate unevenly, vibrate very markedly and can lead to a loss of control.
f) Do not use any damaged insertion tools. Check every time prior to using
insertion tools as well as grinding disks whether there is evidence of parts
chipping off and fissures, check the grinding pads for evidence of fissures,
wear and tear or marked abrasion, check the wire brushes for evidence of
loose or broken wires. If the power tool or the insertion tool falls on the floor
inspect whether it is damaged or use an undamaged insertion tool. Once you
have controlled and inserted the insertion tool, you and people in the vicinity
should stay in a position that is outside of the level of the rotating insertion
tool and allow the tool to operate for a minute at the maximum rotational
speed.
Damaged insertion tools generally break during the test period.
