CROSSBAR INSTALLATION
1.
Using emery cloth (220 or finer), remove surface
rust, Loctite
®
and foreign material from hub,
splined gearbox, vertical shaft, and crossbar as
shown in Figure 18.

Install crossbar (2) on splined shaft. Install castle
nut and cotter pin. Torque nut to 200 lbs-ft
3.
Install the blades using existing hardware. Torque
blade pin nut to 450 lbs-ft.

U-Joint Disassembly
1.
Remove external snap rings from yokes in four
locations as shown in Figure 21.

2.
With snap rings removed, support drive in vise,
hold yoke in hand and tap on yoke to drive cup up
out of yoke. See Figure 22.
