BURNER, PILOT AND CONTROL COMPARTMENT
PILOT FLAME
The flames from the pilot should be visually checked as soon as the
unit
is installed
and periodically during normal operation.
The pilot flame must always be present
when the fireplace is in operation or connected to the gas line with main shutoff
valve open and the IPS activated (powered)
.
The pilot flame has two distinct

Pilot Flame
Inspect area around the
burner
. Remove any lint or foreign
material with a brush or vacuum.
Keep the control compartment clean by vacuuming or brushing at
least twice a year. Make sure the burner porting, pilot air opening
and burner air opening are free of obstructions at all times.
