Your Vehicle Identification Number And
Customer Number

Sawmills built before 1989 have a serial number stamped in the bed frame and the saw
head. The number represents the month and year of manufacture followed by a
sequence number and revision level (See figure below).

Each Wood-Mizer sawmill after 1989 has a 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
See the figures provided for VIN locations and description.

Each sawmill is also identified with a model number which includes the base model and
the engine/motor configuration. An ’s’ after the model number indicates the model is
approved for sale in countries that have adopted German "Gerprüfte Sicherheit: (G.S.)
safety standards. The model number is located on the middle blade housing cover. See
the figure at the right for a description of the model number.

When you pick up your mill, you will receive a customer number. Both the VIN or serial
number and your customer number expedite our service to you. Please write these num-
bers below so you have quick, easy access to them.
