•
Always use undamaged clamping flanges of the correct size and shape for the grinding wheel
you have selected.
•
The outside diameter and thickness of the tool used must correspond to the specified dimensions
of your power tool.
•
Grinding wheels and flanges must fit exactly on the grinding spindle of your power tool.
•
Do not use damaged grinding wheels. Check the grinding wheels for chipping and cracks before
each use. If the power tool or grinding wheel are dropped, check whether damage occurs or use
an undamaged grinding wheel. After you have checked and fitted the grinding wheel, keep yourself
and persons in the vicinity out of the plane of the rotating grinding wheel and allow the tool to run
at maximum speed for one minute.
•
Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on the application, use full face protection,
eye protection or safety goggles. If appropriate, wear dust mask, ear protection, protective gloves
or special apron that keeps fine grinding and material particles away from you.
•
Ensure that other persons remain at a safe distance from your work area. All persons entering the work
area must wear personal protective equipment.
•
Keep the power cable away from the rotating tools.
•
Regularly clean the ventilation slots of your power tool.
•
Do not use the power tool near flammable materials. Do not use the power tool when it is standing
on a combustible surface such as wood.
•
Do not use tools that require liquid coolant.
Recoil and corresponding safety information
•
Hold the power tool firmly and bring your body and arms into a position where you can absorb
the recoil forces.
•
Avoid the area in front of and behind the rotating cutting disc.
•
Do not use chain, wood-cutting or serrated saw blades or segmented diamond discs with gaps
of more than 10 mm.
•
Avoid blocking the cutting disc or excessive contact pressure. Do not make excessively deep cuts.
•
If the cutting disc becomes jammed or you interrupt work, switch off the tool and hold the parting
grinder unit stationary until the disc has come to a standstill. Never attempt to pull the still running
cutting disc out of the cut, otherwise recoil may occur.
•
Do not switch the power tool on again while it is in the workpiece. Allow the cutting disc to reach
its full speed before carefully continuing the cut.
•
Support large workpieces to reduce the risk of recoil through a jammed cutting disc.
Assembly instructions
