Dolby Monitoring Screens
Dolby Zoom Screen
Dolby Zoom
is a very powerful analysis tool. Much as a camera lens can “zoom”
into a single subject of interest out of many, the
Dolby Zoom
feature lets you
quickly “zoom” into a single Dolby bitstream, out of multiple encoded Dolby
streams and other channels. Simply rotate the
Adjust B
control until
the Dolby bitstream, as identified by the Dolby icon (shown here at
right), is highlighted and then press the
Adjust B
control. You can
immediately listen to and meter the contained audio channels, as well as view the
Dolby MetaData. Bitstreams are shown distinctively along with the normal metering
channels, as shown in Figure 2-8.
As shown in Figure 2-9, the Dolby CODEC being used to decode the monitored
signal is shown in the information display at the center top of the Dolby Zoom
screen. Dolby D, DD+, and E decoding is an optional feature requiring either
the OPT-DOLBY the OPT-DOLBY ATMOS module. Contact Wohler Technical
Service to install software licenses.
The Dolby Zoom screen can be adjusted to show exactly the information you need.
Figures 2-9 through 2-12 illustrate the variety of screens you can display.

Dolby Zoom meters are customized to show Dolby related information. The
clustering in Dolby zoom is automatically selected based on the speaker
configuration that the user selects in the Decoder configuration shown in Figure 2-
36. When the
Dolby Zoom
screen appears, the speakers will be muted. You may
then select the Downmix audio or any other clusters of channels. You may solo or
mute the individual channels for troubleshooting or other purposes.
The Loudness parameters and values are shown on the right side of the meters.
Rotate the
Adjust A
knob to cycle through the various loudness parameters. The
Dolby integration provides various values that depend on the Loudness settings
