5.1 Changing the Aspect Ratio
The widescreen (16:9) design of your LCD TV allows you to view films in their original aspect
ratio without distortion.
Standard definition TV programs are broadcast with an (4:3) aspect ratio. When 4:3 content is
displayed on a widescreen panel, black bars will appear to the left and right of the video image. If
you want to eliminate the black bars and have the video image fill the screen it is necessary to
change the aspect ratio mode.

To change the aspect ratio, you can use the remote control or OSD.
Using the Remote Control
Press the
VIEW MODE
button to toggle between
Wide
or
Normal
aspect ratios.
Using the OSD
1. Press
the
MENU
button to open the OSD main menu.
2. Press
ENTER
to open the
Picture Menu
.
3. Press
T
to select
Aspect Ratio
.
4. Press
X
or
W
to select
Wide
or
Normal
.
5. Press
ENTER
to activate your selection.
