The excess current device is used for signalling in
normal operations in accordance with DIN 14462.
The motor does not switch off if it is overloaded.
The motor only switches when overloaded in test
run mode.
8.3 Checking the PLC
You have to set the date and time on the PLC
during commissioning (see 6.2.2 Setting the PLC)
9 Maintenance
Have maintenance and repair work carried out
by qualified skilled personnel only!
DANGER! Risk of fatal injury!
There is risk of fatal injury from electrical shock
when working on electrical equipment.
• The system should be switched off so that it is
voltage-free and secured against unauthorised
switch-on for any maintenance or repair work.
• Any damage to the connection cable should only
ever be eradicated by a qualified electrician.
• The switch cabinet must be kept clean.
• If the motor power is 5.5 kW or more, check the
contactors for burn-out from time to time, and
renew them if there is significant burn-out.
• Visual inspection of the electric system parts in
the switch cabinet
10 Faults, causes and remedies
Have faults remedied by qualified personnel
only! Follow the safety instructions in chapter
“Safety”.
All faults on the FLA switchgear are displayed by
the
signal lamp.
