USER DIRECTIONS
During first time use, pour out the first batch of boiling water to dispose of
dust and other impurities.
Fill water through the designated opening or remove lid by turning the lock
to ‘unlock” before the kettle is placed on the base. Never fill less than 0.5
litre of water to avoid boiling dry. Also, never fill more than 1.0 litres (max)
of water.
Close the lid by turning it towards the “lock” position.
Unplug the kettle from the wall outlet.
Push the power switch towards the handle.
The lamp will light when the kettle is switched on.
When the water starts boiling, the safety feature automatically turns the
kettle off.
Remember! If the kettle is lifted off its base, it will automatically shut off, and
the boiling will stop. It can be restarted after 30 seconds by pushing in the
power switch.
Lift the pot from its base before attempting to pour from it.
Unplug the heater from the outlet and let the pot cool off before moving it.
Remember! If you wish to interrupt the boiling process, simply set the power
switch to zero.
FILTER
Lift the lid and remove the calcium filter. Rinse in running water. Put the
filter back and ascertain that the two holes in the filter fit the filter box.
CLEANING
Unplug the kettle. Do not immerse the base and kettle in water or any other
liquids. If the pot is dirty, use a mild cleaning agent. Do not use any sharp
objects.
REMOVAL OF CALCIUM DEPOSITS
•
Elram recommends calcium removal with regular intervals. Use a
purchased calcium removal product and follow directions closely, or:
•
Fill the pot with 1/3 vinegar spirit and 2/3 water, bring to boiling point.
•
Let the vinegar spirit and water mix stand in pot over night, and empty
out the next day.
•
Fill the pot with water and bring to boiling.
