2.1 This appliance has a concealed slide control knob. It is
discreetly concealed in the space between the decorave trim
and the glass door frame on the lower right hand side. Simply
press the knob and it will protrude from its current posion to
enable operaon.
The knob will slide from le to right, this movement controls all
funconality of the appliance, from ignion, flame control and
turning the appliance off. When the desired operaon is
complete, simply press the knob inwards and it will return to its
stowed posion.
Controls
Lighng
Slide the control knob to the le to the ignion symbol. Aer a
few seconds the pilot light should light.
If the pilot light does not light, release the control knob and wait
for 3 minutes before reaLempng. If the pilot does not light
aer 3 aLempts, check the baLery—see page 6. If the baLery is
new and the pilot sll fails to light, contact a gas safe engineer.
Once the pilot is lit, keep the lever pushed to the le for up to 10
seconds then release. The pilot should stay lit and the central
and front log burners will now light.
The appliance is now running at the LOW seBng.
Slide the knob slowly to the right to turn the rear log burners on.
The appliance is now running at the HIGH seBng.
To turn the fire off, slide the lever all the way to the right to the
OFF symbol.
Should the spark generator fail to provide a spark at the
electrode it may be that a small amount of soot has fallen from
the fuel bed onto the pilot assembly, causing a short circuit. If
this is the case, ensuring the appliance is off and cold, this area
can be cleaned with the thin nozzle from a vacuum cleaner. See
page 8 for details on glass removal to access this area.
