Installation / Deinstallation
4.1
Steps of installation of the modules
The system samos
®
PRO is designed for the use in a
cabinet with a protection degree of IP 54 or higher.
Within a system samos
®
PRO the controller SP-COPx is located on
the left-hand side of the modules, followed by one or two optional
gateways.
Pay attention to ESD-protective measures during the installation.
Otherwise the internal bus can be damaged.
The connection between the modules is realised by the integrated
S-BUS+ interface. Please take into account when exchanging a
module, that the samos
®
PRO modules must be pushed apart by
approx. 10 mm, before the corresponding module can be removed
from the standard rail.
Take suitable measures to ensure, that no foreign bodies get into
the plug openings.
Installation according to EN 50274
The modules have a housing width of 22.5 mm and are designed
for the installation on 35-mm-DIN-rails according to EN 60715.
4.1.1
Installing the SP-COP module
Push the release slide into the open position.
Tilt the module against the standard rail.
Observe the correct position of the shield contact. This shield
contact has to be connected properly to the DIN-rail.
Snap the module against the DIN-rail.
Push the release slide with a screwdriver against the Din rail, until
the release slide snaps into place with an audible click.
4.1.2
Installing extension modules
Tilt the module against the standard rail.
Observe the correct position of the shield contact. This shield
contact has to be connected properly to the DIN-rail.
Make sure that the module is firmly seated on the DIN-rail. Try to
withdraw the module from the DIN rail with light pressure. If the
module is fixedly connected to the DIN rail in this test, the assem-
bly is correct.
