5.14. Function of the emergency power supply (optional)
The emergency power supply is activated only 2 minutes after the start of the
joining (as soon as the pump switches off after the start of the joining).
In case the power supply fails before said point in time, the machine switches off
immediately (like without emergency power supply).
During emergency power operation:
•
The relief valve is actuated every 60 s in order to avoid a counter pressure from building
up due to a yielding pipe.
•
The joining pressure is monitored and stored.
It is also stored at which point in time the pressure has fallen below the lower tolerance
limit as well as the amount of pressure at the end of the cooling time. These values are
registered on the log.
•
At the end of the welding process, the welding parameters are stored in the RAM and on
a PCMCIA card.
•
The voltage of the accumulator is checked during switching on of the machine. In case the
voltage is too low, an error message appears. In that case, it is not guaranteed that the
voltage supply during cooling time can be maintained by the accumulator.
•
After storing, the hydraulic system is rendered pressure-less and the emergency power
supply of the machine is switched off.
•
In case an error occurred during the welding before the switching off of the emergency power
supply, this is displayed when switching on again.
•
In case of an error during the writing on the PCMCIA card, there are still 4 minutes left for
removing this error. Thereafter, the emergency power supply is switched off in order to
avoid discharge of the accumulator.
•
In case EMERGENCY-Stop is pressed during emergency operation, the emergency power
supply is also switched off, the machine is completely without power.
Attention!
The machine can not be moved, since no valve is actuated.
•
If the machine is switched off at the main switch, the emergency power supply is also
switched off at the same time.
