NTRODUCTION
1.1 P
URPOSE AND FUNCTION OF THE WHEELCHAIR
The "Kontiki" wheelchair is a mobility aid for people with walking difficulties. The Kontiki
is intended for indoor use and is operated and propelled by an accompanying person
(push wheelchair). The hoop wheelchair is also suitable for propulsion by the user
him/herself.
Maximum weight of user is 120kg.

TANDARD WHEELCHAIR AND ACCESSORIES
The Kontiki is available in two versions:
•
push wheelchair (small rear wheels)
•
hoop wheelchair (22" rear wheels)
Both comprise:
•
a painted metal frame on wheels
•
seat, backrest, armrests, legrests
•
tiedown points for tying down in taxis
The following loose-supplied items or tools come with every wheelchair. Check that they
have been supplied.
