Using the Scanner
The installed software will automatically create a “PhotoImpression 6” icon on
your desktop.
8. Remove the installation CD and restart the computer.
Insert and remove SD Card (optional)
The slide and negative film scanner is equipped with an internal memory of 32
MB. Scanned images can be stored to this memory. Alternatively, scanned
images can be stored at an SD card (not included). Take this card to a
professional photo printing service for example.
1. Insert the SD card into the card reader (3) before scanning. The electric
contacts of the card have to face down and peek into the unit.
2. The integrated memory is disabled as soon as an SD card is inserted. From
that moment scanned images will be written to the SD card. In playback
mode, only the images that are stored on the SD card will be shown.
3. Close and open the cover (1), if you have inserted or removed an SD card
while the scanner was in use. This way the scanner will be initialised.
Using the Slide and Negative Film Scanner
1. Use the power supply (7) to connect the slide and negative film scanner to
power mains.
2. Open the cover (1). The power LED (4) lights up.
3. Insert the slides or films into the appropriate holder (13) or (14).
4. Insert the loaded holder from the right side into the slot (15) of the scanner
and move the holder carefully to adjust the film.
5. Press the start (5) button to capture a picture.
6. Close the cover (1) in order to switch off the scanner.
