Using
15. Measuring Illuminance
You can use the meter to measure
illuminance with the built-in light sensor.
The light sensor (15) is located on the top
of the meter (see picture on page III).
1. Set the rotary function / range switch (5)
to the
x10Lux
position.
2. Direct the light sensor to the light
source to be measured in order that the
light can reach the sensor through the
small white cover of the sensor.
3. Multiply the reading by 10. The result is
the measured value.
Notes:
The illuminance measurements are affected by various criteria such as the
direction of the light, the location of the sensor and the distance between
the sensor and the light source.
While performing measurements, make sure that the light to be measured
is not blocked by any obstacle.
